Anyway I thought it would be nice to check back in, read some posts. Even if it was just to let you guys know you're still not rid of me and to get the feeling not much has changed in the past few months. Except for a couple of new names that is. Welcome guys and I hope to catch you online when I get back to playing MW2 or BC2.

So what's been happening down here in Waffle country? Not much really. Everywhere you look you see orange flags hanging out the windows and all everyone talks about is how WE are going to win the World Cup unless THEY mock it up. I guess it's not much different here than it was in Scotland except for the WE are going to win part that is.

And life? Well it still goes on. My 4 year old daughter is developing a sense of humour which she's starting to use whenever she feels she could get into trouble. And she's getting away with it too. My wife's shoe collection is growing exponentially and she's getting away with it too as I live seeing her in high heels. And my Skunk seeds have started growing into plants now so I guess I do have green fingers after all.

Or getting killed by someone standing behind the player I just shot because his bullets go right through his team mate and find their way perfectly into my alter ego.
Now I know I suck at COD and this is in no way an excuse for that. But I have to say I can't wait for the new Battlefield to come out, at least then there are always people finishing below me because they've been playing COD too much.

Catch 22, i want to spend more time with my kids. however i also need to provide for them and secure thier future.

Hmmm, I thnk long and hard and still always end up wondering how I'm not spending enought time in either area. As a father all i want to do it the right thing by my family.

Well this post is not about any of that. I don't know if any of you have tried to post a blog lately but it's not easy to post a blog entry in the present as the year dropdown only shows 2004 - 2009.

Anyway a fix is on the way, that is if Phil ever comes online.

For the ones wondering how I posted this post, I'll say Firebug is your friend.

Here are the steps:
1. install firebug add-on for firefox (if you're still using IE shame on you, go install a decent browser).
2. left click on the year dropdown box -> inspect element
3. open the select at the bottom (click on the triangle).
4. change the value of one of the options to 2010 and select it as your date.
5. post your blog entry

So what happened last year? Well in short I've tried to get used to life in the Netherlands as opposed to life in Edinburgh. And I must say that apart from the fact that I still can't really get used to the people, the closed shops on Sunday, the lack of Starbucks on every corner and the small beers it's not been that bad.

And what will this year bring? At least a trip to Edinburgh, but I've been trying to that for a year now and every time something seems to pop up. And what else? Well, I think I'm going to take it as it comes this year.

Sit back, relax and watch 2010 unfold.

That's my new years resolution.
